Changelog

Free Invoice Automation launches on Friday 1 January 2027. After launch, new features arrive in releases through the first half of 2027. This page lists what ships in each one.

Each feature arrives everywhere at once: in the web app, the REST API and, where it has a tool, the MCP server, because every feature is one capability. Pages for features that ship after launch carry a "Coming" note with their month.

Launch: 1 January 2027

The first public version: everything you need to create invoices, send them and get paid, from the browser, your AI assistant or your own code.

Website and generator

• Free invoice generator: create, preview and download a PDF invoice with no account; data stays in your browser and moves into your account once on sign-up.
• Marketing site with pricing and legal pages. The Shopify app and WordPress plugin shown as "Coming soon" with a "Notify me" button.

Accounts and sign-in

• Sign-up and sign-in with email and password, magic link, passkeys, two-factor authentication and Google. Sign in with Apple as soon as Apple approves our developer account.
• Unlimited businesses, members with roles, deactivate and remove on every plan, export everything and delete your account.

Documents

• Invoices, estimates, credit notes, receipts and void.
• Saved items with CSV import and export.
• Gap-free numbering, revisions, PDFs, share links and verification codes.

Getting paid

• The pay page with card payments through your own Stripe account and bank transfer.
• Payment proofs ("I have paid") and manual payment records; refunds through Stripe.

Email

• Send documents by email through your own SMTP or the platform mailer (20 a month on Free, 100 on Team).

Developers and AI

• REST API /v1 with API keys, idempotency and signed webhooks; the OpenAPI reference on this site.
• MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT, Grok and Gemini, with OAuth sign-in or an API key, and a no-account generate_pdf tool.
• AI invoice agent with credits: Team 1,000 a month (2,000 in the first paid month), Free 250 welcome credits after adding a card, credit packs, or your own AI key.

Plans

• Team plan bought in the app, with the regional price, the 30-day money-back guarantee and the failed-renewal grace period.

Release 1: week of 11 January 2027

Getting paid on time.

• Reminder sequences with Gentle, Standard and Firm presets, and a per-client opt-out.
• Late fees, off by default, including statutory presets.
• Recurring invoices.
• Promise to pay, which pauses reminders until a date.
• Client portal with a one-time email link.
• Sign in with Apple, if it was not ready on launch day.
• New MCP tool: send_reminder.

Release 2: week of 25 January 2027

Deposits, reports, local payments and new ways to connect.

• Deposits and payment schedules, with reminders per instalment.
• Reports: aged receivables, outstanding by client and client statement, revenue, tax collected and payments received, with CSV and PDF export.
• Local QR payments: UPI, Raast, JazzCash and Easypaisa, on the pay page and the PDF.
• WordPress and WooCommerce plugin: direct download and submission to WordPress.org.
• CLI on npm, and the stdio MCP client.
• New MCP tools: set_payment_schedule, get_aged_receivables, get_report.

Release 3: February 2027

Stores and more ways to be paid.

• Shopify app, submitted for App Store review: invoices for orders, void on cancel and credit notes on refunds.
• Whop as a payment method for your invoices.
• Pay-me page, and the pay-me block in the WordPress plugin.
• More AI features on the same credits: reading receipts and PDFs, voice input and AI-written reminders.
• A donations page with a transparency chart.

Release 4: March 2027

• Saved cards and auto-charge through Stripe, with the client's consent; clients can remove a saved card from the portal.
• Contracts and e-signature, sealed with a hash once signed.
• Saved views for your document lists.
• New MCP tool: create_contract.

Release 5: April 2027

• Time tracking with a timer and manual entries, and invoicing of unbilled time.
• Expenses, billable to clients with an optional markup.
• WhatsApp, Telegram and SMS for sending documents and reminders.
• New MCP tools: log_time, list_unbilled_time, invoice_unbilled, record_expense.

Release 6: May 2027

• QuickBooks Online and Xero sync, one way from us to them.

Release 7: June to July 2027

• Accounting ledger: chart of accounts, automatic entries, trial balance, profit and loss, balance sheet and general ledger, and bank statement import.
• New MCP tool: get_ledger_report.

Later

Planned without a date and built when users ask for them: the n8n node, more payment methods, e-invoice export, an Enterprise plan with custom domains and single sign-on, and mobile apps.
