Contact support
How to get help with Free Invoice Automation, what to include so we can answer quickly, and where to report security issues.
We answer every question by email. Before you write, two quick checks often solve the problem straight away: the status page tells you whether something is down, and Troubleshooting explains every error code and its fix.

Response times
- Team plan: priority email support, with a target first reply within 1 business day.
- Free plan: we answer by email as soon as we can.
Write from the email address you sign in with. It helps us find your account, and we only discuss an account with the people who belong to it.
What to include
A good first message saves a round of questions. Include:
Who and where
Your account email, the business name, and the surface you were using: web app, API, MCP (and which assistant), CLI, generator, or a client's pay page.
What you did and what happened
The steps you took, what you expected and what you saw instead. Copy the exact error message.
The request id
Every API error includes a request_id, and every API response carries it in the X-Request-Id header. It lets us find the exact request in our logs.
When
The date and time it happened, with your time zone, or in UTC.
Which document
The document number, such as INV-2027-0042, or its id. For payments, the amount and the payment method.
Find the request id
In an API error, the request id is inside the error body:
{
"error": {
"code": "permission_denied",
"message": "Your role does not allow sending documents.",
"request_id": "req_0193f2c0-1d2e-7f30-8a41-5b6c7d8e9f01",
"docs_url": "https://docs.freeinvoiceautomation.com/errors/permission_denied"
}
}With cURL, add -i to see the response headers, including the request id header:
curl -i "https://api.freeinvoiceautomation.com/v1/documents/0193f2b4-5a6b-7c8d-9e0f-1a2b3c4d5e6f" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $FIA_API_KEY"What never to send us
Never send passwords, API keys, MCP tokens, SMTP passwords, AI provider keys or full card numbers by email, to us or anyone else. We will never ask for them. If you shared a key by mistake, revoke it in Settings > API keys and create a new one.
A screenshot is welcome, but cover any secrets or your clients' personal details first.
If we need to look inside your account
Sometimes the fastest way to fix a problem is for us to see what you see. We only do this with your permission:
- You grant access for a set time.
- While the session is active, a banner shows in your app.
- The session ends by itself when the time is up.
- Every action taken during it is recorded in an audit log.
Common requests
I want a refund of my first Team payment
Email us within 30 days of your account's first Team payment. See 30-day money-back.
I want a refund of a credit pack
Unused credit packs can be refunded within 14 days of purchase. Email us to ask. See Credit packs.
I need more than the fair-use limits
Tell us what you are building and how much you need. See Fair-use limits.
I want a copy of my data or to delete my account
The Owner can do both in the app at any time. See Export your data and Delete your account. For any other request about your personal data, email us.
Someone sent me a fake invoice that looks like it came from you
Every real PDF from an account carries a verification code. Scan it or open the verification page to check the document. If it does not match, or there is no code, forward the email to us. See Verification codes.
I need an Enterprise plan
Enterprise is planned after launch, with custom domains, white-label and single sign-on. Email us to talk about it. See Free and Team plans.
Report a security issue
If you find a security vulnerability, email [email protected] with the steps to reproduce it. Please do not test against other people's accounts or data, and give us time to fix it before you share details publicly. Our contact details for security reports are also published in security.txt at https://freeinvoiceautomation.com/.well-known/security.txt. See How we protect data.
