Payments
Pay-me page
A public page at your business's own address where anyone can pay you with the methods you choose, without an invoice link.
Coming February 2027
This feature ships in February 2027. This page describes how it will work; details can change before release.
The pay-me page is a public payment page for your business at freeinvoiceautomation.com/ followed by your business slug, for example freeinvoiceautomation.com/acme-studio. Anyone can open it and pay you with the payment methods you chose to show, without waiting for an invoice. Put the link in your email signature, on your website or in your social profiles. It has no analytics, no ads and no sponsors.
What the page shows
- Your business name and logo, themed with your branding.
- An optional headline and description you write, for example "Pay for your session" or a short note about what payments are for.
- Every payment method you enabled for the pay-me page: card through Stripe, Whop, your bank details and local QR codes.
Card and Whop payments open the provider's own hosted checkout; the page itself only shows details and links to checkout. That is also why it is safe to embed the page on other sites.
The pay-me page follows the same paid rule as everything else: money arrives through a verified provider webhook or is recorded by you. A visitor returning from checkout does not mark anything paid.
Your business slug
The address comes from the business's slug, a short name that is unique across all businesses on Free Invoice Automation. Each business in your account has its own slug and its own pay-me page. If a slug is already taken, choose another.
Set up your pay-me page
Connect your payment methods
Make sure the business has the rails you want: Stripe, Whop, bank transfer or a local QR rail. See How payments work.
Choose a slug
Set the business's slug in Settings > Business. It becomes the address of the page.
Choose which methods to show
In Settings > Payment methods, mark each method you want on the pay-me page. This choice is separate from whether the method is offered on invoices.
Write a headline and turn the page on
Add an optional headline and description, then enable the page. It is live straight away.
Open your pay-me page in a private browser window to see exactly what a visitor sees.
Embed it on WordPress
The WordPress plugin has a [fia_pay_me] shortcode and block that embeds your pay-me page on any WordPress site, with or without WooCommerce. The pay-me page is the one public page that allows being framed like this, because it has no actions other than links to hosted checkout. Every other public page (pay pages, the portal, estimate pages) refuses to be framed.
Through the API
| Action | REST | Permission |
|---|---|---|
| Get the pay-me page | GET /v1/businesses/{id}/pay-me | businesses.view |
| Update the pay-me page | PUT /v1/businesses/{id}/pay-me | rails.manage |
| Read a public pay-me page | GET /v1/public/pay-me/{slug} | none |
The page's settings are whether it is enabled, the headline and the description. Which methods appear is set per payment method with set payment methods.
curl -X PUT "https://api.freeinvoiceautomation.com/v1/businesses/0193f2a1-1b2c-7d3e-8f40-5a6b7c8d9e01/pay-me" \

"headline": "Pay Acme Studio",
"description": "Card, bank transfer or Whop. Thank you for your business."
}'{

"logo_url": "https://...",
"headline": "Pay Acme Studio",
"description": "Card, bank transfer or Whop. Thank you for your business.",
"rails": ["stripe", "whop", "bank_transfer"]
}
}The public route needs no authentication and returns only what the page shows: the business name, logo and enabled rails, plus your headline and description. The pay-me page is not on the MCP tool list.
Rules and edge cases
- Public by design. Anything on the pay-me page, including bank details, is visible to anyone with the address. Show only what you would print on an invoice.
- No tracking. The page never loads analytics, ads, affiliates or sponsors.
- Branding. "Powered by Free Invoice Automation" appears for businesses on the Free plan only, as on other client-facing pages.
- QR rails carry their own currency (INR for UPI, PKR for Raast, JazzCash and Easypaisa).
- Turning the page off stops it from showing your payment methods. Your invoice pay links keep working.
